May Day Celebrations in school

Start: 9th May 2018 1:00pm

Duration: until 3pm

On Wednesday 9th and Friday 11th May, we will be holding our annual May Day celebrations beginning at 1.30pm.  Refreshments will be served between 1.00-1.30pm.  Due to health & safety regulations tickets are limited to 2 guests per family.  Ticket requests will be sent out week commencing 23rd April so do look out for this either by email, the school spider app or a paper copy.

All Key Stage 1 children have been voting for this year’s May Queen.  Our congratulations go to:

  • May Queen 2018 : Jasmine Houghton
  • Attendants : Keeva Davidson and Beaux Williams
  • May Prince : Jasper Blackledge

We do ask that all children come dressed on the day in the following:

Boys should wear

Black pumps

White socks

Smart grey or black shorts

Plain white polo shirt

Girls should wear:

Black pumps

White ankle socks

Party dress (any colour / style)

Small posy of flowers

Quite a few children have had a growth spurt so it’s worth checking that their pumps still fit.  If you have any problems with any of the above, please let us know as soon as possible so we can help out.

Most Key Stage 1 children have their lunch at home on these two dates, prior to “dressing up” and returning to school.  We do understand that this isn’t possible in all cases and we do help those children to get ready.  If you decide to take your child home on either or both of these days he/she should be collected at 11.45am and returned by 1.00pm ready for a prompt start at 1.30pm.
