Homework

In line with the schools new homework policy, beginning at the start of Spring Term 23, Year One pupils will now be set weekly homwork tasks, to help them excel in their education and become the best little learners they can be.

Consistent with the policy the tasks will coincide with what they are learning in class, or will be personalised to help reach pupil targets. All tasks will be accessible and understandable, so the children thrive, grow in confidence and enjoy their learning at home. Each week, which will run from a Thursday to Thursday, there will be a variety of English and Maths based tasks, spellings included and these will be sent home either in paper form in books, on computer based programmes such as MyMaths and Purple Mash or interactively on Seesaw.

Each Thursday afterschool guidance informing parents of the tasks will be uploaded to Seesaw. If you, as parents/carers and ‘homework helpers’ have any questions about the tasks or on the policy, please do not hesitate to ask we will assist in the best way that we can.
